The Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub’s origins are rooted in Ireland’s traditional heritage. Long ago, back in the mists of time, the name "Dubh Linn" – Irish for "black pool" – was given to the dark pool of water that still lies today beneath the proud heart of Dublin City. Located close to what is now the gate of the Guinness Brewery, the dark waters from this pool were the inspiration for Arthur Guinness' "Perfect Pint”. Guinness has been brewed in Dublin since 1759.

Designed and handcrafted in Ireland, the Dubh Linn Gate Pub and Restaurant was transported piece by piece around the world to the the ground floor of The Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside. The Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside is located at the base of magnificent Blackcomb Mountain, just north of Vancouver, British Columbia. Enhanced by a huge 100 seat outdoor patio, the Dubh Linn Gate has a dream location, standing toe-to-toe with the gondolas, chair-lifts and ski-slopes of North America’s busiest four-season mountain resort.
