Enter The Gate & you’re in Ireland. Warm hearted Gaelic hospitality can’t be topped. The hospitality, toe-tapping music, extensive selection of fine beers, wines and liquors, the tasty pub fare -with a twist- will all make you feel right at home. Soon you’ll be singing & hoisting one of The Gate’s huge Irish (20 fl. oz.) pints of beer.

If you’re not talking with an Irish lilt by the end of the evening, you’ll be surprised! The Dubh Linn Gate is so real that every piece was made in Ireland. The chairs & tables, the bar, pub memorabilia, all of it, totally authentic. All were shipped from Ireland and assembled into a cozy masterpiece.

There're old photos of Dublin’s Guinness Brewery. There are old biscuit tins, stone jugs and brass clocks. There are ships’ lantern, old leather bound books, and Brian Boru’s harp. It’s cozy, welcoming and very Irish.

There are comfortable nooks & toasty fireplaces blazing. Even a special alcove for darts. The huge, mirrored bar commands the centre of the pub. Its banks of sparkling glasses entice. The seductive aroma of melt-in-your-mouth Wicklow Mountain Irish Stew wafts toward you. Is that sound you’re hearing the beating of your Irish heart?

And then you turn. Huge windows, majestic mountains, the sun streaming in, skiers fleeting down slopes. Sit with your meal out on the vast patio, catch some rays and watch the nonstop action. And you’re back in Whistler once again.
